David has been picture framing for over thirty years, originally specialising in fine art and restoration, working across all medium. His interest in photography dates even further back, having for many years his own home B&W darkroom before taking a break from framing to study for a BA in Editorial Photography, full time at the University of Brighton. Returning to framing after a couple of years working as a college photography technician, he has since specialised in the presentation of photographic works. He has been working at Metro for the last 5 years, helping develop the framing department from its conception.

“It has been a great experience, meeting many interesting clients, discussing their framing needs, from one-off pieces through to full-scale exhibitions. The most enjoyable aspect of framing is being asked to produce something new, devising strategies and techniques to create one of bespoke presentations. It can be quite a challenge!”
